(ASCEND) Problem with MAX dialing into P50

Hi,

We have a MAX Classic (1600) with ethernet IF and a 32 HDLC channel
board on a channelized T1 line (B8ZS, ESF, WINK-200) upgraded to the
highest software rev (4.6Cxx). We also have a P50 on a standard ISDN
line. Both the T1 and the ISDN lines are on DMS100 switches. The P50 is
also upgraded to the most current rev of the software as of last week
(5.1Apxx). We have succesfully configured both units and the P50 can
call the MAX, get a WAN connection up, route packets, etc. Everything
seems to work without a hitch.

The P50 is configured to both ANS/ORIG calls, however...

For various reasons, we want the MAX to call out on the channelized T1
as opposed to having the P50 call out on the ISDN line. The problem is
that although the P50 can call the MAX, and can call itself in the TEST
mode of the terminal server, and although the MAX can make calls out
including successful calls to itself, whenever the MAX tries to call the
P50, nothing happens; the P50 doesn't even see the line ringing and
raise the ring-indicator (either flashing light or "r" indicator on the
software console).

We have had the telco check out the T1 and it is supposedly fine. We can
have the MAX complete a call to itself, to the telco digital loop-back
test number, and to other ISDN TA's, but not to the P50 which just seems
to ignore the incoming call completely.

Any idea as to what is going on? I am really stuck and need to get this
to work.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
