This is a problem for me too, or something similar. I never lose routes
(5.0p36) but I do have problems with my default route not coming back to
life after a reboot. I have a small ethernet attached to the max, the
usual assortment of WAN links (analog and ISDN) on the PRIs and an
external CSU/DSU connected to the V.35 port. The Max talks over the
V.35/CSU to another router, who is my default route.

After a reboot, the max manages to automatically re-establish the
connection to the remote router via PPP, but the default route does not
get pointed over this link. Is there some special setting I must make in
order for the default route to automatically attach to this link? I have
the default route set to use the proper gateway, and it is set active, but
if I reboot I must switch it to "inactive" and then back to "active," then
it will work. In case of a power failure (which I have a lot of, even
when I don't trip over the power cord :) )

I do not like having the whole network disconnected until somebody notices
and calls me, I would like it to come back up automatically. :) Also,
with such a problem in place, I cannot load code remotely, but I must
physically be at the PoP in order to do it, which is annoying.
