To be honest, I assumed it could. 48 *was* a choice for the number of
VPN's I wanted to set up. Also, if I go back to my modem's (and not use
the Max) everything is fine. I can't imaginge NT chokes with only 48
simultaneous connections. A little quick math says that if all 48 lines
had 56K connections, thats 2.7Mb/sec. Certainly that shouldn't be a
problem for the 10Mb/sec of the Max ethernet and my NIC's.

However perhaps there is a limit in the number PPTP can handle? This
is my first dealing with PPTP, so I by no means claim I know it inside
and out :)  I'll check out if I can find some reference to a PPTP limit.

But... Ascend says that other people are doing this with no problem.
