As you may know, OSPF performance and reliability depends heavily on
design. This is true no matter what router product you use. With the Ascend
Max, which is more of a NAS than it is a "backbone" router, the design is
critical.
Some designs work very well. We have many OSPF customers who run without
any problems. We have others with different designs that do have problems.
It's best to check with your local Ascend SE if you can.
