(ASCEND) windows nt radius

Here is my delima.
We have a max 4000 that is used for dial up users only. It use to use pptp
to talk to our NT server for user authentification. We now want to switch to
radius. 

We have Microsoft NT Server's free radius running on a server and the max is
doing the IP pool. 

My question is: Anyone else doing this? and if so, Any tips will help. It
looks like about every 6th caller gets a lan security error. also the
reporting aspect of NT radius is not working.
