You've answered your own question. The Wanidle0 is the one you want - it
is the total of all the (wan) interfaces. Wanidle will report the
bandwidth used whether you have 1 or 2 channels or 24.
We've been using MRTG since late last year for monitoring a couple of
P75's some P130's on a couple of dedicated T1's and a P220 serving a
256k Frame Relay connection and I use the wanidle interface for them
all. As you've discovered the other interfaces change with each
connection made.
