Re: (ASCEND) ppp at ascend% terminal prompt?????

Why not start PPP by default?  As you can see from your debgging, it isn't
doing any authentincation.  Your best bet is to poke around
Ethernet->Answer->PPP options and check your PPP settings.  Do you have
Recv Auth set to anything?
