WHY DOES ASCEND KEEP DOING THIS?!

Dammit!  There is a standard way of adding this shit, without grabbing
bogus attribute numbers.  Someday the RFC is going to encroach on this
space and Ascend users are going to be fscked over - all because Ascend
can't seem to understand what 'Vendor Specific Attribute' is used for!

Hey Ascend, read the fscking RFC!
