I do confirm.... There is a 'no trouble' way back to 5.0ApXX...
The trick is just to use the '-f' option for tloadcode...

> tloadcode -f A.B.C.D /tftp/ascend/release/file.bin
> fsave
> nvramclear

and everything's fine, happily ;-)
