(ASCEND) Load balancing with GRF
We bought a GRF to replace our cisco 2501. We also decided to add two more
T1 to another provider in addition to the two we have to mci and run bgp4
accoss them and take advantage of load balancing.
We started to set things up yesterday with the new provider which has a
cisco 75xx on their end. The problem is the only way we could get things
up was with a seperate peering session over each T1. This is fine for
redundancy, but does jack for load balancing. All I really caught out
of it was the cisco wanted to peer with the soft address and the GRF
wanted the serial and wouldn't handle two routes pointing seperate
ways. Our Ascend SE helping is off looking for a solution to this problem
which I would have a standard solution. Does anyone have any ideas I can
toss at the SE to help him find the solution? If not I would imagine the
GRF would be inherently broken and we bought the wrong box....thanks.
