(ASCEND) Radius periodically failing on TNT

Since upgrading to 7.0.4 on the TNT, about once a week it starts failing to
authenticate via radius ever second or third dial-in.  The syslog shows that
it is timing out waiting for authenication.  Once the system is reset
everyone is authenticated normally again.  The problem is not the radius
server.

Has anyone else seen this?  Any guess what could be causing it?
