A good workaround to this problem is to create a special connection
profile. You can do this under ethernet -> connections and then click on
a profile, enter the username and password for the connection profile,
and you *should* be able to leave everything default, so then you can
connect to the box and drop to a termserv prompt, then type local to get
the same menu as when you telnet into the box. From there you should be
able to do a software reset of the box, and that *should* correct
everything.
