(ASCEND) Radius problem - 'Drop duplicate: ascend1025, id=xxx'
Hello,
Since moving my Max4000 from 5.0Ap42 (ebk.m40) running [the Ascend]
radius-980618
on HP-UX 10.20 to 6.1.24 I'm starting to see a situation where the radius
daemon
stops responding to any requests, and logs
Drop duplicate: ascend1025, id=xxx
where xxx is an ascending number, depending on how many requests it has
rejected.
The problem being here, it's not until people start shouting I get to fix
it;
radiusd is still running, it just ignoring any attempts to validate users
:-(
Resetting the MAX doesn't appear to fix the problem, so I have to kill and
restart radius.
So...anybody know what this means, and perhaps why it happens? I've
searched the
Ascend site but find nothing. Interpretting it literally, I'm assuming
radius
thinks the request is a duplicate of one it's already had, and it's stuck in
that state. Has anyone else experienced this?
Regards,
Aron
