(ASCEND) radius user file

Hi
In my users profile in /etc/raddb i have the following:

DEFAULT Password ="UNIX"

and it uses the /etc/passwd file in my Unix machine. i dont want to use
/etc/passwd file, i want to use other file for authentication service. Is
it possible?

What Should i do?
