Re: (ASCEND) Forcing an IP address
I think your problem is in the way you have PPP configured on your
Linux box. You didn't give much info below, but I bet if you setup is
anything close to "default" you will find a few commands at the bottom
of the /etc/ppp/options file which explains how PPP decides whether to
use the host assigned address or its own. I believe these two lines are
commented out by default (and should be in my oppinion), but you may try
uncommenting them and see if that helps any. good luck!
