In almost (ALMOST!) all implementations of IP that I know of, the address
that appears in a traceroute when the node has more than one IP address
is the address of the interface which is used to send packets BACK to
the source of the traceroute (which may or may not be the same interface
over which the traceroute is coming IN, if your routing as asymetrical).

"sh ip rout ip.address.of.machine.from.which.you.are.tracerouting"

See What "Gateway" and "IF" say. If might be "ie0", indicating that the
packet will go out the Ethernet interface, but is "Gateway" indicating
the secondary address of an address on the same LAN as the secondary
address?
