I am using 'PAP' authentication, and this works wonderfully if my user
account has a hardwired password in the users file; unfortunately if I use
an account with password= "UNIX" it fails.

Note: This is definitely an NIS+ issue as I have used the identical users
file
on a non-NIS system and it works great.  The NIS+ is not performing
passoword looks correctly.  How should by /etc/nsswitch.conf be setup? how
about /etc/passwd?
