RE: (ASCEND) shared D-Channels on PRI
We have 31 channel PRI's (16th channel is D-channel) and 1-15,17-31 as
normal channels(30 + 1 D Channel).. what is NFAS? Can you give an example
of its use? Will it work in New Zealand.? Telecom has to "invent" PR2 so we
could hunt across PRI's (as they had broken NEC (I think) switches) . Clear
in NZ can hunt across PRI's without any problem as they use different
hardware (Don't know what kind).
Wed love to do hunting across PRI's on normal PRI's. Telecom said it could
be done. But I was told none of the equipment (cisco, ascend,shiva....)
could do it (Only PABX's etc)

you can share D-channels between PRIs with use of NFAS. give each PRI
an NFAS id. Configure your 1 PRI as 23 switched+D and the other as 24
switched.
Now if you can do it across chassises, i dont know, you would have to try.
