(ASCEND) Telco PRI problem with our 4004's
We have been testing a PRI with our MAX4004 for the past month and have run
into a problem. When the MAX is rebooted for any reason, the PRI from the
Telco's switch doesn't automatically reset the circuit. Someone from the
Central Office has to manually reset the PRI, and then everything is fine.
I am not happy with this, obviously, since its possible for the MAX to
reboot at anytime of the day or night.
We are using 6.1.7, but have tried going back to a 5.0AP42 or AP48 and it
didn't make a difference. The EWSD switch vendor, Siemens, has sent us a
test MAX4004 that works fine in their test environment (using the same modem
switch, with the same software), but it also did not work.
Any ideas on what could be causing this weird problem? Is it possible the
Telco's CO has a power problem in their building?
