I checked the pppif output during the last hour, at one point almost
100% of all calls got rejected with a LAN security error. This lasted
for about 5 minutes, after which everything went back to normal.
The max is currently set to Shared Prof=Yes, most users get their
IP via pools. Here's one of the calls that should *not* have been
rejected:
PPPIF-103: Auth Opened
PPPIF-103: Remote hostName is 'Nn.menzel'
PPPIF-103: CBCP Opened
PPPIF-103: pppMpSendNeg Pkt
PPPIF-103: pppMpNegTimeout layer 4
PPPIF-103: opening CCP
PPPIF-103: pppMpSendNeg Pkt
PPPIF-103: pppMpNegTimeout layer 6
PPPIF-103: Allocated address [194.64.165.24]
PPPIF-103: opening IPNCP: 212.51.0.11 -> 194.64.165.24
PPPIF-103: pppMpSendNeg Pkt
PPPIF-103: pppMpSendNeg Pkt
PPPIF-103: pppMpNegUntimeout last 0 layer 4
PPPIF-103: pppMpSendNeg Pkt
PPPIF-103: pppMpSendNeg Pkt
PPPIF-103: pppMpNegUntimeout last 0 layer 4
PPPIF-103: IPNCP Opened to 194.64.165.24
WANDATA-103: duplicate PPP session found
PPPIF-103: _pppClose called
PPPIF-103: doing normal close.
PPPIF-103: IPNCP closed (timeout)
PPPIF-103: IPNCP closed: Close OK
PPPIF-103: Freed address [194.64.165.24]
PPPIF-103: _pppClose called
PPPIF-103: cleanup pass
PPPIF:_auth_free_callback: Freeing authData
The IP was not allocated at this point, the user was not logged
in. Shouldn't have happened...
Unfortuately I cannot talk about the firmware release the max
is running :)
Mail to emeasupport@ascend.com is on the way...
