Re: (ASCEND) routing table problem

Just a quick follow-up questions (if you don't mind): what's
the difference between a static route added into the tnt via the
'new IP-ROUTE' command and one added via the 'iproute add'
command? When I tried to add a static route via the 'new ip-
route' command (I tried to add a static route for 208.163.55.0/23)
it wouldn't take, but it would take if I did a 'iproute add'. :(

Thanks again!

Jim,

Looks like a Radius route - either the caller has this network specified as
an interface or ethernet address, or you have pulled a static route out of
radius:

The Flg column can contain the following flag values:

C (A directly connected route such as Ethernet)
              I (ICMP Redirect dynamic route)
N (Placed in the table via SNMP MIB II)
O (A route learned from OSPF)
R (A route learned from RIP)
              r (A RADIUS route)
              S (A static route)
? (A route of unknown origin, which indicates an error)
G (An indirect route via a gateway)
              P (A private route)
              T (A temporary route)
              * (A hidden route that will not be used unless another
better route to the same destination goes down)

Send the RADIUS profile if you like and I will have a look.

dean
