Re: (ASCEND) P130 and TNT
What type of T1 port are you using on the TNT - 10-port Frameline card or
8-port Channelized T1 card ? The 8-port CT1 card will require the use of a
HA192 slot card to handle the PPP or FR processing. If you really want to
rule out the Telco - try your setup with a crossover T1 cable direclty
between the TNT & Pipeline 130 - just make sure that one side is providing
clocking for the T1 span. I assume the T1's are up on each end (no
alarms). Make sure on the Pipeline that the nailed group number for the T1
is equal to the nailed group number in the conneciton profile under Telco
options - I believe one of these defaults to 3 and the other to 1. Also
check the data-svc under Telco options and make sure it matches the TNT -
either 56K or 64K. Set the encapsulation for PPP (Not MPP). On the TNT
make sure that the nailed gruop number is not duplicated in any other T1 or
connection profiles. After checking all of this, try resetting the
Pipeline. If this doesn't help, and you just get outgoing call/call
terminated - there are some further debug steps that TAC could assist you
with.
