I've been totally satisfied with my 4004. (the rebooting in earlier versions
i could have done without) but for the most part it has been satisfactory.
Out of an average about 85 channells accross 50+ calls, my throughput peaks
at 35K per sec. Not that it is limited by the box but that my users just
don't demand it. At any given time i can still exceed the 128K throughput to
my own pipe50 via the MAX so i know that throughput isn't a processor speed
isn't a factor.
On the other hand i am a little disappointed to know that we really did have
to wait for a MAX 6000 to properly handle the 96 chanells that i paid for on
the 4004.
PS. Is there an upgrade program to get the 4004 upgraded internally? i don't
need the bigger power supply but the new processor, faster backplane and
dual stacking modules sound nice.

says that????? And when I buy the MAX 6000 will it work and handle the
number of calls that he claims or whem the possible MAX 7000 goes to the
market I'll know that there was some problems with the MAX 6000 too?
What I want to know is, I can buy another MAX 4000 or is a better idea look
for another RAS solution?
