(ASCEND) v6.0.0 and Macintosh modems
I installed firmware v6.0.0 on our Max 4000 last week and all seemed well
until...
I have a few Macintosh users with Performa 580's, using the internal 14k4
modems. They can no longer dial in to our Max. They receive errors like "TCP
Close-out" every time they dial. The init string they use is a plain AT&F
a PPPIF trace on the max reveals...
PPPIF: open: routeid 40, incoming YES
PPPIF-32: ASYNC mode PPPIF-32: vj comp on
PPPIF-32: _initAuthentication
PPPIF-32: no auth
PPPIF-32: bypassing async layer
PPPIF-32: bypassing async layer
PPPIF-32: LCP closed: Timeout
PPPIF-28: _pppClose called
PPPIF-28:cleanup pass
Can anybody shed light on this problem? Will a suitable init string solve
this? Your wisdom is most welcome!
Regards,
Michael
