(ASCEND) filters for RIP traffic

Does anyone have a filter written (that they might care to share) for 
filtering call data for RIP-2 updates.  I am looking for a mechanism to 
filter the initiation of calls and the resetting of the timer, but not the 
traffic itself.

I think this is what Ascend calls a "call filter."  We seek to eliminate 
the 30-second updates, which are a bit much, but not the traffic entirely 
if a connection is open in the first place.
