RE: (ASCEND) AAC and convert script

	Group,

are any of your running AAC?

Yes

If so ~ how many accounts do you have in your users file?

1500

Is there a covert script, to convert the current UNIX based
RADIUS users
	file to AAC format ?

I think so but I designed my own with PERL...it wasn't very difficult

	Are you using REALMS ?

yes

Are you using "WINNT" security, so that users are authenticated
from
	your domain BDC ?

No...waiting for LDAP, winnt doesn't solve the global issues

Have you created outbound profiles for pipeline users, i.e. the
MAX
	initiates the call ?

yes

Have you defined routes within AAC RADIUS, i.e. route-max1-1,
	route-max2-1, etc. ?

im not sure I follow...we have route-1 ...?

Is the accouting any different from UNIX's RADIUS ?

Should be somewhat identical

Is there an easy way to search for a user account within one
REALM,
	multiple REALMS ?

yes...its built into the software

Overall experience with the product, Good ?

We run it on NT which means security is somewhat compromised but from an
overall product standpoint, it looks OK. We also designed our own web
interface to the database because the application Ascend uses is
somewhat of a hack. We also had a sneak preview of the web interface
they built...but its just a webafied version of the same
application...so we wont be using it either. If you have someone who
knows how to manage a database, its just as well you build you own
interface.

	Thanks.
	Sincerely,
	Nelson Llabona
