The page doesn't mention why Ascend has been sitting on this bug after
being notified of it ahead of time.  Apparently security is not a priority
at Ascend.  It only took two years of me harassing Ascend to get the
default SNMP behavior changed.  They just didn't bother to fix the UDP DoS
attack.
