(ASCEND) fast busies, queiscing lines -- Please help
Someone please tell me if I'm thinking wrong here...
I have 2 Maxen, a 4004 and a 4048, both running 6.0b2 (over 30 days
without a problem).
These 2 boxes are terminating 4 PRI circuits on a single hunt.
4004 has lines 1 and 2
4048 has lines 3 and 4
I need to get all calls off the first max to upgrade it's code. How can
I do this without killing a user's session? (at least 10 people logged in
at all times) I've tried queiscing the lines on the 4004, which causes
all calls to roll over to the 3rd PRI on the 4048, but only until a user
on the 4004 disconnects. After which, any new calls get a fast busy.
It seems to me, that when I was running 5.0ApXX, the max would busy out
each channel as users disconnected, keeping all unused channels queisced
until there was nobody logged into that max. Am I imagining things here?
Does this need to be a feature request, or is there another way to do
what I need?
Please help me understand this, as I honestly can't believe that all ISPs
that use Ascend Maxen just kill off 10-46 connections when they need to
upgrade the code on a box.
