Re: (ASCEND) Scripting

Here we did it pretty cut and dry, We did some simple scripts that shoot
all syslog out to a port on the box, For instance all someone has to so
is connect to our syslog box on the following :

babylon:~$ telnet xxxx.ascend.erols.net 18769
Connected to xxxx.ascend.erols.net.
Escape character is '^]'.
connected

Platform?

(From here the person can either type MAX, TNT, or 1800) they it will
spit out the respected syslog for the platform that was typed. It's a
simple perl script that just tails the files and shoots them to the port.

If people wanted I could put it up on the FAQ.
