Re: (ASCEND) 2 Class C's on same Max ?



Is there a reason you don't aggregate those as a /23 CIDR block?  Your maxen
should be able to see all hosts if the maxen are given a network size of /23
and your computers (and all other devices) are given netmasks of
255.255.254.0.

I do know of possible reasons this might not work for you though...

If that's not a good solution for you, it should also work if you assign the
maxen IPs in both Class Cs.

Or instead you should be able to enter a static route for that other Class C
with the gateway of your one IP (207.220.251.5/24) on the Ethernet interface.


Actually, these are really very basic routing and IP concerns, so you should
either work very hard at learning a whole lot more about IP and routing right
away and before you try to do much more, or perhaps find somebody else to do
this work for you.
