(ASCEND) Serious performance problems with Netbios and MAX4000

Hello.

last week we noticed raising TTLs on the local (!) Ethernet to one
of our MAX4000 routers.
We normally had under 10ms and it raised to 2000-4000 (!) ms for
a few minutes. We changed the hardware but the effect did not disappear.

Even on the console port i had to wait 4-5 seconds (!) to move from one
window to the next one in the configuration screen.

Trafmon on my Freebsd systems noticed one (!) User to send huge amount
of netbios packets to the broadcast Adress of our IP Pool.

e.G we assign 192.168.10.X for dialup users, this user sends netbios
packets to 192.168.10.255.
The user had a ISDN connection and he has sent with 6500cps.

What can be done with this effect ? Is there a option to discard netbois
packets ?

Winfried

PS: pleae dont tell me to buy the firewall hash code. Just to filter
a few packets, i am not willig to give out 3000$ :_)
