Can anyone tell me a little more about this. Unless I'm mistaken, disconnecting a modem after it retrains 3 times seems silly. Isn't a modem supposed to keep reacting to lines conditions, and down/upshift accordingly? Is there a formula for deciding if there are too many retrains in a certain period of time?
