(ASCEND) Java Configurator expired

I just downloaded and installed the newest Max4000 MaxConsole Java
Configurator.  

Apparently, Ascend used a (now expired) time-limited library in developing
it.  When I run it, it issues this message and quits:

This limited version of the Grid was available only until Aug 1,1997
To enable the Grid, you must obtain a license and a Professional
Development Kit from Neuron Data.

What's up with that?
