RE: (ASCEND) Ip addys & connect speed.
Download the NT version of NavisAccess. It uses SNMP to provide all the info about a caller including name and IP address.

Subject: (ASCEND) Ip addys & connect speed.
All,
We would like to provide some way for our technical support to see
the ip address of our clients without having the write password on the MAX
4004/4048 boxes. Is there any way to log the IP address and connect speed
of a caller via syslogd? Can we give access to the 'show users' command
without giving the read password? Is there deamon that logs SNMP traps? I
like the SNMP method because some really good details can be logged via
SNMP, but I will suffice for *ANY* of these above methods. The fastest
one to implement would be best for now.
Thanks
Paul.
