Yea. I checked all the dialout protocols and call types, nothing matches.

14.What Protocols does the BitSURFR Pro support for connections from my
PC, or Mac?

For single B channel connections, the BitSURFR Pro supports the
V.120 (asynchronous), and the PPP or Point to Point Protocol (asynchronous
to synchronous conversion). For two B channel connections, the BitSURFR
Pro supports the AIMUX or Asynchronous Inverse MUltipleXing protocol
(asynchronous), and the MLPPP or MultiLink Point to Point Protocol
(asynchronous to synchronous conversion). The main connection protocols
supported by internet service providers are PPP and MLPPP. The V.120 and
AIMUX protocols are often used when connecting from one BitSURFR Pro to
another, as in telecommuting applications.

-------- In other words, until either ascend supports V.120 or AIMUX (lame
and probably useless) or the ButtSniffer supports translating MLPPP for
the NT box (and why the hell is the TA doing the PPP anyway? shouldn't
that be hauled into software? I can think of a few ways to multiplex 2 B
+ 1D into a 230k serial link)

Anyway, my question still stands: since I'm now forced to deal with
Sync/Async problems, who has a good source of information on it?

I havn't had to deal with it in a Looonng time (read, since early BBS
days) so I remember zilch. ;-)

I was just treating ISDN TAs as fast serial links, but apparently that's
not the case. Though it works just fine in the outgoing case, so nothing
triggered that I had a problem. FAQ? Book? Come on, this is the NET,
something must be out there. (Yes, i'll try the search engines, but
lately they have been returining Oh so accurate results for anything
technical... Marketing and Porn, but that's about it)

Hmm... how much is it? And have you been able to be called by a RAS?
(preferably Ascend, but success reports from Livingston are welcome as
well, Zoner...)
