(ASCEND) TNT & Flex 56




Friday we received out 56K modems for the TNT (running 1.3Ap2). We have
seen a 200% increase in the number of disconnect reports. It appears that 
the majority of disconnects are comming from 28.8 and 14.4 modem customers.
However we have seen customers with the Motorola VoiceSurfr 56K not 
connecting at all (regardless of the INIT string) There appears to be 
major issues with the TNT and the Flex 56K modems. We have several 4004s 
that are running fine with 56K modems and seeing little disconnects and 
connection problems. 

We are about to yank the 56K modems from the TNT and go back to the 
standard modems.

Is there a eng. release of the TNT software that helps resolve the 
disconnect/connection problems?
