Best option IMHO would be to make this TOS dependend: If the Reliability
Flag in the TOS is set, better queue them. If it is not, drop them. Quake
will likely not set this flag. Quake may, however, set the Delay flag in
order to get lower delays. Which leads to a general question on Ascend
equipment: Is TOS handling implemented at all, and if so, how ? Will
small packets with the Delay flag be sorted into the queues with privi-
lege ? Is Reliability considered on dropping ? Is Throughput somehow used,
f.i. in creating oversized packets on the WAN ? And is the Preference value
somehow utilized as a priority in queuing ?

Now, on the other hand, you won't very likely play Quake and download
the newest Quake2 Shareware 30 MByte in the background ;->

Generally, yes. But not if I explicitly request it to take caution, with
TOS Reliability.
