Actually, I have. I use to get tons of 185 with progress 60.
LQM was turned off on our Max4004, but the LQM min and max where still set
to 600 (10 mins) and our users were getting dropped after 10 mins. Now
this is fixed (I set it to 0) and I don't see any c=185 p=60. This fixed
some people's connections. It seems that LQM stayed on and when people
were doing large file transfers LQM was failing for their connection and
disconnecting them. (We are running 5.0Ap5 on Max4004)
But it hasn't changed anything for people who get c=185 p=66, what
is bizarre is that progress code. Unfortunatly, other than the
explaination by the Modem Disconnect & progress codes (CCP is in OPEN
STAT). Now I don't have my TCP/IP vol.1 book handy.. was is CCP and what
happends under CCP?
Also Kevin et al, is there anyway to increase the DCD timeout so
that if DCD drops, it waits longer for the Ascend modem to hang-up? We are
getting lots of DCD was dectected but because inactive (LOST CARRIER)
(Disconnect code = 11).
Thanks
Ps. here a table of the frequency of c=185 / c=11 / c=100
c=11 p=60 ( 5%) of disconnects
c=11 p=66 ( 2%)
-----------------
c=185 p=60 ( 3%)
c=185 p=66 ( 4%)
-----------------
c=100 p=60 ( 7%)
c=100 p=66 ( 6%)
-----------------
Total (27%)
c=45 p=* (70%)
-----------------
Total (97%) there rest is bad logins <g>
I've included c=100, because lots of our csts get dropped before
the TS idle / IDLE / etc values.
