Re: (ASCEND) modem speed

There is nothing to fix this, and Ascend has abondoned it in favor of
pushing 56K on us, claiming that "Rockwell" fixed that in the new
releases. I have seen a negligable increase in the connection speeds
reported by radius with the new K56 modems. They are lighter, cooler, and
have just as much trouble as the old V.34 cards had with connection
speeds.

C'mon guys, how about either putting some serious pressure on Rockwell,
and getting this fixed already? Either that, or putting out a tested,
reliable product, instead of having all of us do your beta testing (at the
expense of losing our own dial-up customers) for you?
