We have seen similiar things - occasional pauses in transfers, observable
in many different programs (ie. not just NetMedic). Even the Win95
performance monitor would pick them up.
We have enabled LQM here on our Maxes. This has made a dramatic difference
to our traffic latency - we gain customers from our competitors because
our network has less lag when playing Quake, for instance. :)
Seems Maxes do just great, provided you use LQM - even when they're "full"
(2 E1/R2s).
