Arrrgh. One of our biggest problems with this whole fiasco has been
trying to duplicate connection issues in the lab so we could
troubleshoot them. However, we have been having the most abysmal luck
in that all our test modems have been getting connected. In a fit of
desperation, I hauled an old Zoom VFP V.32bis 14.4 out of the closet and
couldn't even get that to fail to connect.
So, theoretically, it can be made to connect to 5.0Ap16. We didn't need
to use anything more potent than the ol' AT&F to get it connected. You
might want to try AT&F/N2.
