Thanks for the comments. The 4050 is a professional grade laserjet that is easy to install and use anywhere but my Androids. I have gotten rid of newer HP inkjets because the drivers harass and beg over buying supplies and giving print format help every time they were used. Perhaps a newer model Laserjet will install and work. A model 4100 is a close match and may fool the installer. -----Original Message----- From: tclug-list-bounces at mn-linux.org [mailto:tclug-list-bounces at mn-linux.org] On Behalf Of Brian Wall Sent: Friday, March 23, 2018 9:25 PM To: TCLUG Mailing List Subject: Re: [tclug-list] OT? I'm not sure it's discoverable in the way that the 4650 is. I'm assuming that since it's networked, it uses a Jetdirect card? You might be able to fiddle with the SNMP settings to get the devices to talk to it. You'll have to forgive my ignorance in Android printing, as I've never done it. If you have the ability, try adding it manually. You can get away with a 4000 driver or even an Laserjet 5 driver, if Android even has such a driver.
