It's a graphical environment, but doesn't seem to be using a modern (or 
very useful) window manager. I'm not sure which one that is (almost looks 
like twm, but it's been a while). I'm not sure why that distribution isn't 
popping up a greeter that lets you choose your environment.

Is there a reason why you went with Sabayon, rather than the /incredibly/ 
newbie-friendly Ubuntu?
