Gentoo, I just like it. Been using it for the last five years. But it is not for everyone. I would suggest "Linux Mint" to those that think they should use Ubuntu (it is only as safe as windows on most installations single userid and a poor password leaving sudo wide open and the userid is not needed to be guessed as most have it pre-filled with the last login). Funtoo is another spin from a Gentoo creator and uses portage for the packages.
