What would be the constraint from asking such a legitimate question on
a mailing list?

Would running such search from the privacy of my home implicate me in any way?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=how+to+run+MAC+OS+X+virtualbox+xen

It doesn't really matter, I will refine my question:

Would anyone like to share their experience which of the three
applications (Virtualbox, xen, VMWare) renders the most options,
optimization, user friendlyness, and performance?

Hardware: HP DV9347cl
OS: Gentoo

Thank you in advance,
David
