Wow, I've been thrown in the deep end on this.

I've used Linux on the desktop for a while now but this week I was asked to
set up a LAMP server, and it's been a very new experience for me.

Now, I've been asked about taking said LAMP server and having a synced,
redundant backup that would take over automatically in the case of a server
problem. Is this doable, and if so, where do I begin to look?
