Hi, I'm using Sendmail on a FreeBSD 4.3 box to forward email. Email will be sent to username at mydomain.com and I then treat that as an alias to username at otherdomain.com. Nothing overly complex here. Anyway, recently one of the "otherdomain.com"s that I forward to started checking to make sure email comes from a valid domain so I now I end up with a series of spam that queues for three days on my server while trying to complete the transaction with "otherdomain.com" and then dumps, this is really annoying. I'm wondering if I can run through the same sort of check for valid domains that "otherdomain.com" does before attempting to forward and thus eliminate the three days of gridlock for all these messages. It appears that all they're doing is verifying that the domain name of the return address has a legal entry in the domain name system. Any ideas? Thanks, Ben. _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Help beta test TCLUG's potential new home: http://plone.mn-linux.org Got pictures for TCLUG?
