I Am Not A Lawyer... so I won't even try to offer advice on your 
copyrights.  I will tell you that Nolo Press has several clear, easy to 
understand books on legal subjects like this.  I followed their books on 
LLC's when I set up a company, later got much the same advice from a 
laywer.  They have a web page with some advice on selected topics 
(www.nolopress.com).  I'm sure you can find the Nolo books at most 
public libraries.  Bookstores have them, too.
