Questions: Any one else ever have this problem? Is there an OEM Version of XP Home or something that needs to be used rather than the standard XP Home?

The Answer is yes there is an OEM Version. There are actually a few different versions of windows XP when it comes to license codes. OEM, Upgrade, Full and Corporate. You just need to get yourself a hold of a oem copy of xp to use that key. I have to do that at work all the time. :)
