I think I lost respect for HP after the firing of Bruce Perens.  The
merger with Compaq didn't thrill me, as my employer was a Compaq
customer.  HP has been developing some pretty crappy hardware lately,
so I expect to see the quality of our servers diminish as time goes
on.
